This distinctive
12-field cel from award-winning Warner Bros.
director Isadore "Friz" Freleng captures a classic
moment from his 1946 Looney Tunes cartoon Baseball
Bugs. In this cartoon, Bugs finds himself
single-handedly taking on the Gashouse Gorillas in
one of the funniest baseball games ever to hit the
screen.
This split-frame image
recreates Bugs unleashing a memorable, if
tongue-twisting, percolating pachedermy pitching
promise and an oversized "Brooklyn Bum" at the
bat, old-growth timber tool in hand.
